Walnut Trestle End of Italian Renaissance table, circa 1570.

Venetian Renaissance table, circa 1570, top original, 8 feet 8inches. Inventory marks carved into both inner ends of  Iacobo Tiepolo Passi of the  Palazzo Tiepolo Passi, Grand Canal, Venezia,     Imported in 1937 by Dr George Richter.                   The first photo in the sequence shows the original lopers dovetailed along their length to securely attach the walnut top and shows it belonged to the two trestles.
